Getac Partners with Veritone Redact for Body-Worn Camera Solutions

Veritone, Inc. has announced that Getac Technology Corporation will now offer Veritone Redact to its customers. This AI-powered software is designed to streamline the redaction process for body-worn cameras, in-car video, interview room footage, and transport camera recordings. By integrating Veritone Redact into Getac’s Evidence Management System, law enforcement agencies will gain an advanced tool for managing video evidence while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

As the demand for transparency in law enforcement grows and mobile video solutions become more prevalent, the need for effective video redaction has significantly increased. Veritone Redact enables law enforcement agencies to automatically detect and blur sensitive information—such as faces, license plates, mobile display terminals (MDTs), notepads, and other personally identifiable information—across large volumes of video footage. This automation minimizes the time and effort traditionally required for manual redaction, allowing for faster and more accurate processing of video evidence.

Getac North America’s President, Mike McMahon, expressed pride in partnering with Veritone to provide advanced redaction capabilities to their customers. He emphasized that mobile video and video evidence are essential tools for law enforcement agencies and that Veritone Redact offers an integrated solution that ensures transparency and compliance while significantly reducing the time needed for video processing.

Veritone Redact’s AI-driven features seamlessly align with Getac’s line of mobile video cameras, allowing law enforcement agencies to efficiently manage and process their video evidence. Users of Getac’s Evidence Management System will benefit from a robust redaction tool, leading to quicker case resolutions and enhanced public trust.

Jon Gacek, General Manager of Public Sector at Veritone, noted that integrating Veritone Redact with Getac’s rugged video solutions empowers law enforcement agencies to handle video evidence more efficiently and accurately. He highlighted that this partnership underscores their commitment to providing cutting-edge AI technology to enhance public safety and operational efficiency.

The collaboration between Getac and Veritone emphasizes the growing importance of advanced technology in law enforcement operations, equipping agencies with the necessary tools to address evolving challenges in evidence management while maintaining privacy and compliance standards.
