Gallagher Security Africa plans for in region growth with four internal promotions

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICAWith a strong focus on regional growth in 2025, global security manufacturer, Gallagher Security, is proud to announce the internal promotions of four of its South Africa team members.

 

Stepping into their new roles from 1 April, Tarryn Fortune and Nico Smit have been appointed Sales Managers Travis Dlamini steps into the position of Junior Repair Technician, and Joshua van Rensburg has been appointed Logistics Manager.

As Sales Managers, Tarryn and Nico will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. They will also be involved in leading and coaching sales teams to achieve targets and ensuring the team delivers exceptional customer value.

Gallagher Security, Group Operations Officer – South Africa, Morne Grobler says of the four promotions, “The hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence by these four team members has not gone unnoticed, and their exceptional skillsets are an absolute asset to Gallagher. These promotions are in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the company. The appointments will position us for a strong year ahead, with the goal firmly on unlocking greater value to our customers across Africa through the power of our solutions and our people.”

Of her recent appointment, Tarryn sales, “I am honoured to step into the role of Sales Manager, a position that presents both exciting opportunities and significant responsibilities. Having worked closely with clients across various sectors, I have witnessed firsthand the evolving security landscape and the growing need for innovative, integrated solutions.”

Nico adds, “I’m extremely grateful for this milestone and am looking forward to the journey ahead.”

Morne acknowledged the pairs’ leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, attributes he says make them ‘a perfect fit’ as they step into the new Sales Manager roles.

After 12 years at Gallagher as Warehouse Assistant, Travis Dlamini moves into the role of Junior Repair Technician.

Responsible for handling modular repairs, troubleshooting, and testing of energizer units and access control systems, as well as assisting with administrative tasks, technical support, and inventory management, Travis says he is looking forward to contributing to the Africa team in a technical capacity.

He says, “Working at Gallagher has given me the opportunity to grow and develop my skills, and I’m excited to take on this new role as a Junior Repair Technician. Being part of a company that delivers industry-leading security solutions makes me extremely proud.”

Rounding out the internal promotions is Joshua van Rensburg who moves into the role of Logistics Manager, where he will be responsible for sales delivery and repairs within the warehouse.

Joshua says, “I’m excited to take on this new opportunity and contribute to a dynamic team. I’m looking forward to driving efficiency, improving processes, and making a meaningful impact.”
