Invixium acquires Triax with plans to expand beyond access control

Toronto-based biometric access control company Invixium has acquired Connecticut-based workforce optimization company Triax Technologies. A press release said Triax’s AI-powered real-time location systems (RTLS) expand Invixium’s biometric portfolio with visitor management tools that improve employee productivity and equipment utilization.

Specifically, it takes Invixium beyond the entry point access control systems market into a more diverse range of use cases for critical infrastructure and industries such as oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, chemical, mining and energy.

“We have identified more real-world problems to solve,” says Shiraz Kapadia, CEO of Invixium. “This acquisition underscores our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that address the health, safety, security and productivity needs of our customers across their facilities. With the acquisition of Triax, we now offer end-to-end solutions—from secure entry points to the entire operational environment. This bold step represents a key advancement in our growth strategy.”

Triax’s flagship product for the connected worker, Spot-r, collects and transmits data from wearable tags to cloud-based analytics software to help enterprises identify productivity pain points, track equipment utilization and improve emergency response times.

“The Triax platform for enhancing work productivity and workplace safety perfectly complements Invixium’s established portfolio of biometric access solutions and services,” said Scott MacDonald, CEO of Triax Technologies. “I am confident that Invixium will continue to advance the connected solutions and increase their impact, delivering significant value to our collective industrial customers and stakeholders.”
