The Spanish manufacturer designed and commissioned the public address and voice evacuation system for MADRING, the circuit that hosted the first Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix in the capital, covering the circuit, grandstands, pavilions, Fan Zones and Hospitality areas under a single architecture.
Malaga, Spain, September 24, 2026 – LDA Audio Tech, a Spanish manufacturer of EN 54 certified public address and voice evacuation systems, was responsible for designing and commissioning the acoustic safety system at the Circuito Internacional MADRING, in Madrid.
The venue, with capacity for 120,000 people a day, hosted the first Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix held in the capital, under an agreement between IFEMA Madrid and F1 running until 2035.
The project was completed in under two months, over the summer, with the inaugural race date as a fixed, non-negotiable deadline. The technical challenge went beyond timing: MADRING brings together a racing circuit, exhibition pavilions, Fan Zones and Hospitality areas within a single venue, each with its own pre-existing audio systems. LDA Audio Tech integrated all of them under a single voice evacuation architecture, while coexisting with the race audio operated by the FIA.
The solution runs on NEO+ technology and is organised into 15 sites connected via NEXO Hub, with digital audio synchronisation over AES67. The circuit site, the largest of them, integrates 59 NEO-4500E+ extensions across 20 racks distributed along the track, and 456 Biamp Community loudspeakers covering the grandstands.
The system was tested and validated with the FIA and IFEMA’s security staff, with intelligibility (STI above 0.5) and sound pressure (above 100 dB) results well above regulatory minimums. LDA Audio Tech worked alongside integrators Ruybesa and DZ Engineering to complete the installation on time.
This isn’t the first time LDA Audio Tech’s technology has sounded on a Formula 1 circuit: the system at Valencia’s street circuit carried its name for the first two editions of the European Grand Prix, in 2008 and 2009.
